Overview:

O’Melveny has an immediate opening for a Lateral Partner Recruiting Coordinator in our New York office. This coordinator will work closely with the Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting, the Talent Development team, and Department Heads and Practice Group Leaders to support the firm’s partner recruiting and integration processes globally and to deliver a best-in-class recruiting process and candidate experience. This role will be responsible for providing a positive and consistent experience for candidates and key stakeholders. This position works closely on ongoing and new lateral partner searches. This role reports `to the Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting.

 

The salary range in NYC for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 and represents the firm’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.

Responsibilities:

Assists with scheduling for candidate interviews, manages travel, reserves conference rooms, and greets candidates (locally). This includes securing the requisite internal interviewers, developing and circulating candidate briefing materials to interviewers, and collecting and following up for interviewer feedback.
Partners with the Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting to develop and implement lateral partner integration plans for new partners.
Tracks and maintains search firm fee agreements and processes search invoices.
Coordinates internal and external meetings with partners, recruiting committees and external search firms as requested.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date data tracking across various platforms including internal spreadsheets and ViRecruit.
Liaises with local office and other administrative contacts to ensure pre-arrival orientation items and lateral onboarding processes are completed.
Prepares in-depth orientation schedules for new partners and partners with respective teams to ensure successful onboarding.
Assists with the proper distribution of background check information and tracks status, with appropriate follow-up as needed.
Other projects/tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of attorney recruiting experience (preferably in a large law firm environment) or professional services experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Superior technical skills and the ability to consider and analyze data and how it can be best utilized for the firm’s talent development efforts.
Sound judgment, the ability to ensure confidentiality at all times, and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with internal and external contacts on all levels
Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent follow-up skills in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should be proactive and comfortable dealing with all levels of leadership.
Experience with ViRecruit and Workday or other applicant tracking system is strongly preferred.
A four year college degree is required.
